Due to the continuous success and growth of our team, we have an exciting opportunity to join RPG as the Financial Accountant at our Brighton Support Office.

Retail Prodigy Group are the master retail franchise partner for NIKE Stores across Australia and New Zealand and the Retail Operations Partner for Samsung Stores across Australia. With an extensive portfolio of Retail stores, we are a team of talented and passionate retailers, committed to setting a new benchmark in retail.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of month end management reporting
  • Managing the preparation of the general ledger reconciliations and supporting schedules
  • Meeting statutory requirements
  • Participating in the year-end audit, including liaising with auditors
  • Completion of all compliance reporting
  • Involvement in annual budgeting and monthly forecast updates
  • Participating in the store monthly budgeting process
  • Reviewing business performance against targets
  • Reviewing bank reconciliations and ensuring adequate investigations of discrepancies
  • Managing weekly, monthly and annual Cash Flow
  • Performing monthly business unit reviews with stakeholders
  • Managing the documentation and improvement of processes
  • Ad hoc analysis and reporting as requested

What makes you the right person?

  • CA/CPA qualified with demonstrated succession and progression in your career to date
  • Previous experience in the retail industry
  • Proven experience in management accounting and business performance reporting
  • A sound understanding and experience with financial controls and processes
  • Strong MS Excel skills and proficiency in Pronto Software (preferred not required)
  • Excellent computer skills, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word  
  • Self-motivator with strong work ethics and professionalism
  • Ability to be a proactive team player, flexible and collaborative, while staying focused to deliver results
  • Attention to detail and strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent organisational skills with ability to multi-task/prioritise daily work
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - a ‘nothing is too much trouble’ attitude with strong service orientation
